USA in high spirits, says captain

Kobe, Japan, October 2, 2018 - USA Captain Jordan Larson: This tournament is long and very difficult and we knew this coming in. I think we have our spirits high and, after three good matches, we have a long way to go. There is a lot of areas where we can be better at. I am really proud of our team so far and I just hope we can continue to get better.

USA Head Coach Karch Kiraly: I want to congratulate Team Korea. They played with great fighting spirit and they played really hard and had lots of strong serving pressure but our team responded well. I don't know if either team played their best but both teams played very hard. Every time we put the uniform on in the world championship it will be a challenge.

Korea Captain Kim Yeon Koung: We started with a good serve and the rhythm was good but during the match our serve went down and with it our rhythm.

Korea Head Coach Cha Haewon: We managed to play our own style and played a good game against a strong United States team, although the result was not good. We served well but our passing let us down.
