Kobe, Japan, September 30, 2018 - Russia Captain Evgeniya Startseva: We allowed Thailand to play very quick volleyball at the start of the match. In the third set we adjusted to this quick movement and our serve became stronger so we were able to respond.
Thailand Captain Thinkaow Pleumjit: We were able to play our own style in the first two sets but the Russian block improved in the third set. It was very high and this influenced our attack and the result. It was a disadvantage for us. However, this performance has given us a lot of confidence for the future.
Thailand Head Coach: Danai Sriwachamaytakul: The first and second sets were very good because we served well and counter-attacked very quickly. From the third set, our offence could not keep going against the Russian block and this was the difference.

Russia Head Coach Vadim Pankov: It was a great game by Thailand. We could not serve well early in the match and the Thai reception was so good and this caused us to lose many points. Once we got our serve together this changed all aspects of our game and we played much better from that point on.
