Peru continue their preparations for the continental World Championship qualification tournament
Lima, Peru, September 15, 2017 - The Peruvian women's national team are actively preparing for the South American continental qualifiers for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Tokyo, Japan.
Peru have just completed a series of games against Brazilian club Rio do Sul. The matches were played to four sets each with the Peruvians claiming a 2-1 victory in the series.
From September 22 to 24, they will continue their preparations for the World Championship qualifier, which is scheduled to take place from October 11-15, when they host three of the top teams from the Brazilian SuperLiga, including Volei Nestle, Camponesa Minas and Fluminense.
The Brazilian teams are set to travel with their complete squads. Players to look out for include Tandara Caixeta, best opposite at the FIVB Volleyball Women's Grand Champions Cup, and Ana Beatriz Correa, best middle blocker at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Finals.
The tournament will be held at the Manuel Bonilla stadium in Miraflores, Peru.
