Organisers Cameroon to take on Egypt and Algeria in World Championship qualifier

 

The teams attend the drawing of lots for the Africa World Champs qualifiers

Yaounde, Cameroon, October 6, 2017- Host nation Cameroon were pitted against Egypt and Algeria at the Drawing of Lots for the Japan 2018, FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship CAVB Qualifier on Friday. 

CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani led the draw that put Cameroon in Pool A with Egypt, Algeria and Botswana.


Tunisia are the highest ranked team in Pool B and they will face Kenya, Senegal, Nigeria and Congo RD.
 
The competition starts on Saturday with three matches and the first round continues till October 11th. The medal matches take place on Saturday, October 14 and the top two finishers will qualify for Japan 2018, which runs from September 29-October 20. 
 
Pool A: Cameroon - Algeria- Botswana- Egypt
Pool B: Tunisia- Kenya - Congo RD- Senegal- Nigeria
