Netherlands coach Morrison says 'we have gotten better with every match'

Nagoya, Japan, October 8, 2018 - Lonneke Sloetjes scored a match-high 23 points as the Netherlands remained unbeaten with a  3-0 victory over the Dominican Republic (25-19, 25-16, 25-14) at the FIVB Women's World Championship on Monday afternoon and the Dutch coach likes the way his team is playing.

Netherlands coach Jamie Morrison: I'm proud of our team. We have gotten better with every match. The Dominican Republic is a good team and if you let them back in the match it they will be tough. We put pressure on with our serve, attack and reception and were able to put the match away in three sets.

Dominican Republic coach Marcos Kwiek: It was a typical match against them. We could not cope with their serve. We will focus on the two remaining matches and try to get the six points.

Netherlands captain Maret Balkestein-Grothues: They are strong with good athletes. We dominated from the beginning. Our serve made the difference.

Dominican captain Bethania De La Cruz: It was not a good game for us today. We didn't play aggressive enough. We will prepare now for the next match.
