Team profile

Kazakhstan

Since their first appearance in 2006, Kazakhstan have been continuously competing at the FIVB World Championships. This year marks their fourth appearance, following their best ever placing of 15th last time around in 2014.
They have qualified for the Olympic Games only once, ranking 8th at Beijing 2008.
Kazakhstan won the bronze medal at the 2010 Asian Games after beating North Korea 3-0 in the third-place playoff. They had previously been silver medallists at the 2005 Asian Championship, after losing 3-0 in the final to China.
