USA captain praises players for sticking with game plan

Kobe, Japan, September 30, 2018 - USA Captain Jordan Larson: We had a really good game plan going into this match and I am really proud of my team for sticking to the game plan. We respect them very much. This is a great win for us.

USA Head Coach Karch Kiraly: Our team did a very nice job of taking care of our side of the net and not worrying about the other team, and executing our game plan. We were serving very tough and I like how everybody has been able to contribute so much early in this tournament.

Trinidad and Tobago Captain Renele Ford: Today's game I think did not go as well as I thought. We have played the United States before and we had better matches against them. We have been able to block better when we played them before. Today we did not block well and we had some issues with our passing and communication errors.

Trinidad and Tobago Head Coach Francisco Cruz Jimenez: This game represented for Trinidad and Tobago a big challenge. The difference between the level of the United States and Trinidad and Tobago is too much. We have played against the United States before in other competitions but not against the complete team. This is the first time we have played against the first team of the United States. For our players it is very good experience.
