Puerto Rico captain Valentin says it was important to get a win over Kazakhstan

Hamamatsu, Japan, September 30, 2018 - Stephanie Enright scored a match-high 16 points to lead Puerto Rico to a convincing 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-22) win over Kazakhstan in Pool D at the FIVB Women's World Championship on Sunday afternoon and the team captain said it was important to bounce back after Saturday's loss.

Puerto Rico coach Jose Mieles: We are happy with the victory after the defeat yesterday. The players changed their mentality and that is why we won today.

Kazakhstan coach Shapran Vyacheslav: Puerto Rico played well. They overwhelmed us on offense and blocks. We did not have time to practice after the Asian Games and some of our main players have been injured and could not train.

Puerto Rico captain Natalia Valentin: It was very important for us to come back from last night's loss to Brazil with a victory. It was a mental thing. Kazakhstan has strong blocks and serves. We continue to grow in this tournament.

Kazakhstan captain Radmila Beresneva: They played well. I don't have much else to say. The coach can say it.
