Lausanne, Switzerland, August 3, 2018 – Volleyball fans around the world will only have to wait a little while longer before they can get their hands on much sought-after tickets for the Japan 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.
Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, August 4 at 10am JST, and fans will be able to access these online.
The World Championship will take place across six cities in Japan from September 29-October 20, with the medal matches being played in Yokohama.
Karch Kiraly’s USA team will try to defend the title they won at Italy 2014, and the tournament features 28 teams from across the five confederations.
The USA have already won one trophy in 2018 – the inaugural FIVB Volleyball Nations League – and they will be pushed hard by silver medallists Turkey, bronze medallists and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic champions China, and 2017 CEV European Championship winners Serbia.
